Tonight's unedited dinner review @ Tandoor Koramangala #food #bangalore
tandoor @ spar koramangala ,bore a deserted look as we entered. Our pick mango lassi which I would rate 9 out of 10 was priced at rs 75,came 3 mins after order.It tasted very good (so asserted my wife as I had a small sip) we had to order one more!Furniture is an odd mix of metallic covers on top of black wood(decor 5/10). Kid friendliness can be rated 3/10.The lowered ceiling gives us a little claustrophobic feeling but the high back partition gave a little privacy!
For main course we ordered balti ghosht (minced lamb curry in a copper bucket -see pic) , roomali roti,basmati rice,butter nan & Tandoori Chat (Sizzling fruits with fresh cheese and sweet potato).They were playing old hindi film music! The food took a minimum half an hour to reach us as they cook fresh!
First disaster the paneer (fresh cheese) and sweet potatoes were missing from the chat.
But then cheese was provided separately after a small hue & cry, we were told that sweet potatoes are seasonal and unavailable at this time of the year (which I doubt!).The waiters would nod their heads politely but would not understand a thing you say!
The only consolation was the good food.I go with a overall rating of 5/10.The main branch of tandoor which is in MG road is much better.
Average bill for two is 1500 INR.
